MISE-EN-SCENE PHOTO ASSIGNMENT

    In this assignment I was tasked to chose a prompt from a list and create a sketch relating to that prompt. After planning out the sketch like the background, lighting, and props; I was tasked to set up the sketch in real life trying to follow everything as close as possible.



The prompt that I chose was "Closer then you think". The mise-en-scene helps express the representation making sure the picture is visible showing what I'm looking for and the placement of the egg that is right above my head even though it seems I cant find it. I made the decisions in shooting to tie the egg to my fishing rod and to draw the egg with yellow and black, I also decided to shoot It at an angle that shows all of the key elements like the egg, picture, darkness, and tree. I also edited the picture slightly to make sure the egg was visible in the picture.

 In this project me and a group of 3 were tasked to chose from a list of prompts and create an environment around the prompt. We were to have atleast 4 foley sounds in this environment a the rest of the sounds were to be taken from a copyright free sound effects website. The scene: A dark night in the woods, walking with only a lantern as the light source, you hear echoing all throughout the forest and the sounds of dogs barking, the sound of leafs and branches crack under your feet. Foley Sounds: Stepping in grass, this effect was very easy to create as we had daniel walk in the grass for about 15 seconds. Breaking branches, this effect was also easy as we had to find a big pile of branches and step on them. Stepping on rocks, same as the others in difficulty as it isn’t very hard to find rocks near us. Editing Techniques

      EDITING TECHNIQUES ASSIGNMENT       In this assignment me and my partner were tasked to create 8 scenes all representing a different editing technique. Each scene had to have a title card with the editing term, the title of the scene, and the scene that we put together. Sound had to be included in each scene and each scene had to be edited. The first technique we used was the shot reverse shot, the prompt we did was 2 people arguing. During the filming process my partner filmed me and my other friend pretending to argue. The second technique we did was a jump cut and the prompt we did was working overtime. my partner filmed himself at the day time going to his computer and working, it cuts to him later at nights tired like he’s been working all day.   The assignment that I was given for this Collage was to take 11 different pictures all with different camera shots. The process I went through for this assignment was first, finding an object to take the different shots with. I originally planned on using my dog but then realized it would be hard to keep them still so I chose one of my sisters plush parrots. My experience creating the shots wasn't very difficult as I had my dad help me because he's a videographer for reality TV so he knows all of the shots.
